Using "Nagios" with the "check_mk" plugin for alerting.


Coordinating Nodes

Check ports
  5701 storage cluster
  5702 process cluster
  5703 portal cluster

Join cluster/add map/insert item/delete item/delete map/leave cluster (relatively heavy weight)

For storage cluster - get size of system metadata map.
For process cluster - get size of replication, synchronization, and indexing queues

For all clusters - % full


Other processes
  LDAP
  TOMCAT - make sure redirect is working
